Togo: Electoral body to use electronic system for polls

Togolese Electoral Commission (INEC) will use an electronic system for the collection and centralization of the results, but also to be informed during the voting process of any malfunctions in the office to take the corrective measures as soon as possible.

The process, known as 'Success' will enable INEC to be informed in real time on participation rates. Generally, the device will secure the whole process.

Each of the 9,000 polling stations will include representatives of all candidates to avoid any disagreement.

The use of 'Succes' should expedite the publication of the preliminary results prior to validation by the Constitutional Court.
